**FEBRUARY 21, 2003** **AUGUST 2002** i spend most of my free time *haha (ironic laugh) out with my friends, playing guitar and piano, singing, writing songs or poetry, painting, bowling, i just got a new 21 spd mountain bike so i've started biking, and swimming...but believe me i'm really not as athletic as i sound! :-P when i was thirteen i got my first guitar as a birthday present and without any previous knowledge proceeded to teach myself the chord structure and theory needed to play and compose with guitar. the twelve years that i have taken piano certainly helped! i sing in the large choir at my school and in the smaller, selective group of about 12 girls (chosen out of anyone who auditions in the high school), and auditioned/practiced/performed one of myoriginal songs- "skyscraping"- with my friend julia at our talent show last spring in 2002. i have recorded once at a recording studio for two hours - a very generous and much appreciated gift :) but i do most of my recording in my room on my computer with Cakewalk-GuitarTracks multitrack digital recording program and guitar, mic, and amp plugins.
Well, it has been quite a few months since i have updated this site...sorry about that! My senior year has been incredibly fun but also incredibly busy. I have written a bunch of new stuff...i was given the incredible gift of a Casio WK-1630 Keyboard for christmas, and so i have started layering piano melodies over my guitar. My current "project" so to speak is trying to patch together a sort of band-thing... i mainly REALLY need a drummer...i'd do it myself only i have to play guitar and sing at the same time:-P i am going to be releasing a new CD with my recent work within the next month or so. I think my style has matured very much from a year ago when i first started selling my work. Anyway, please email me with comments or whatever:-P bye!
